Message from Hillingdon Council
''Hillingdon residents will be invited to future Strength and Balance cohorts based on medical criteria being fulfilled; this includes residents at risk of falls and/or frailty. The local NHS services will be inviting patients who meet the criteria to book a class. This will be done automatically and there is no need for a doctor's referral.
Residents can still proceed with completing the medical questionnaire online for a self-referral Strength and Balance / Chairobics booking - Hillingdon Council and if they have not previously attended they will be given priority for a space. Anyone who has previously attended will be placed on a waiting list and offered a space if there is one.
There are also follow on classes available which they can also choose to move on to. These are run by a company called Stay Active and not the Council and therefore incur a cost.
